Wash basins. If u just need to rinse your hands or an item, no need to walk all the way to the toilets. There are basins (& a water cooler) in between the food centre & the market.

Kopi. After sampling the beverage stalls here, the brew from Mei Xiang Cha Shi #01-72 was the smoothest & most aromatic. 80-cents for a kopi-O kosong

Roasted meats. Above average serving from Happy World Roast #01-107. Clean-tasting preparation, although 'sio bak' (roast pork) has overly salty skin. Served with chicken soup. Good chilli dip

'Chai png' (economy rice). Lai Huat #01-95 serves generous portions of rice. Curry sauce was tasty too! This plate $3

Duck stew. Soh Food #01-106 offers this unique dish. Goes well with his sambal belachan dip. Also sells duck soup

Nasi Lemak. When I sampled on a workday 7:30am, the rice was soggy from Economical Bee Hoon #01-82. Chilli paste is the savoury type, not sweet. Fried chicken wing was cold, not crispy

Stewed duck. Eunice Quek, food correspondent, enjoyed it from Soh Food #01-106. The meatier whole leg serving ($5.50) is served with mushrooms & spinach. Source: Straits Times

Curry puff (epok epok). What's interesting about the snack from Pastry For Life stall #01-78 is the extremely light pastry holding in the curried potato chunks
