Food was excellent. Reasonable beer selection with more traditional cask ales than keg. Visited at peak time on a Saturday and was lucky to get a table in the bar - booking recommended.

Book if you want a table at weekends. Great food and beer. Car park can be tricky but plenty of rod parking

The Royal Quiz Night is held every Sunday at 8pm. £1 entry/person (proceeds to charity), teams of up to 6 people, and free nibbles - normally prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and last!
