The red blazed Overlook Trail is shorter with less climbing, still a great view.

A nice, short hike that I have made plenty of times. Careful parking on the Maryland side of the river though - someone broke into my car through the back window while I hiked. Glass everywhere. 😫

Hike up to the fort and then the overlook for a great workout. Bring binoculars, water & snacks

It's steep in places, but the track is wide and very well maintained, just take your time. The view at the end is worth it.

A stunning view. Aim for dusk to get some special shots. Or if you're feeling very confident, trek up their early to get some shots at dawn when the clouds are below you.

Very tough hike, take good shoes and plenty of water. But worth every bead of sweat!!!!!!
