Walk to the mid or high rise viewpoint for the floodgate opening. Great views

If you are coming to see the sleuce open, take the short walk to the Mid View Point. The road bridge is a bit anti-climactic.

In summer you need to be there at 10am, 2pm or 4pm, when they open it and you can see the rapids being created
