The field house was the main athletics facility on campus before the Carrier Dome. In 1962, a running track identical to Madison Square Garden's was constructed around the field house.

Manley Field House, built in 1908, replaced the old Archbold Gym and was the main athletics facility on campus before the Carrier Dome. The spirited Orange student section was called the "Manley Zoo."
